SQL is gaining more and more popularity in both big and small companies. With
SQL becoming cheaper, particularly with cheap or freeware SQL dialects such
as MySQL, developers

One of the main advantage of SQL is speed. This advantage is however compromised

with other databases. This results in slower responses than if the queries are executed
directly.

You are able to customize queries and
sorting as much as you want. You can construct complex filters that run on the
back-end database and only return the records you need. You can sort the browse by clicking
on the column headers in the listbox.
The SQL browse templates are compatible with most SQL
dialects. They are in use with various backend databases, such as SQL Server (MS-SQL),
Oracle, Sybase, MySQL and more. They also work with ODBC.
The SQL browse is a replacement template for the ABC browse and consists of a browse
template and classes to support it. The templates and classes are designed with
flexibility in mind and you can use them against most SQL databases that provide
