Icetips Cowboy SQL Templates

What have we been doing? Here you can see our progress report on what we have been working on in the SQL product since release 6.0 in July 2003. We update it every time we add or fix something.

You can use the SQL templates with Clarion 5, 5.5, 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2. The SQL templates are for the ABC template chain only. The SQL browses are replacements for the ABC browses, not additions.

The SQL browse templates are compatible with most SQL dialects. They are in use with various backend databases, such as SQL Server (MS-SQL), Oracle, Sybase, MySQL and more. They also work with ODBC.

You get a lot of options with the Icetips SQL templates. Header click sorting, powerful locators, you can construct your own Select statement, call SQL functions to fill columns or call stored procedures. You can use colors, icons, styles, you even have a built in GreenBar effect, all of which make your browses appealing and easy to use. Filters can be applied to the entire browse or to individual columns.

In the beginning of July 2003, Icetips released a new version, 6.0, that includes a wealth of new options and features. Very powerful record priming when inserting lets you groom the priming to exactly what you need. Fields can be assigned values, variables, NULL or even functions called to assign values. Fields can be primed both before and after the record is added to the table making it possible to insert records that have fileds that can not be NULL, without handcoding.
